Patrick's Story
I went on an eMi project trip in 2008 that changed my life. I had been working in the civil engineering industry for 10 years and had a great life and job but this project revealed a much bigger world than I had ever known. God seeded a passion for the developing world in my heart and used the stories of hope and redemption on that project trip to point me in the direction of a massive life change. Using my civil engineering skills to serve God and love people in East Africa was where God seemed to be leading us but moving to Uganda also seemed like a huge overwhelming process. Kara and I decided to take it a step at a time and see what happened. God turned the huge overwhelming process into a short sequence of manageable details and in May of 2010 we packed up our house, 12 suitcases and our 4 kids to join the eMi staff in Uganda.
